The Classic is the most iconic and longest running style in K-Swiss history. Since its start in 1966, the Classic has gone through many iterations based on changes in the market. In 1988, the Classic was simplified and refined as many other popular brands were taking minimalistic approaches to product. In 2000, the Classic was again redesigned into a luxury approach with more a chunkier shape as this shape and statement look was trending. In 2015, the Classic was tweaked as new ownership at K-Swiss wanted a material call out in the back heel as material play was a consistent theme in many other brands at the time. For 2023, the Classic GT is another cornerstone in the Classic timeline of evolution. The Classic GT takes many of the details and intricacies of its previous versions and brings them all together in an eloquent way while creating the modern Classic for today. The last shape and outsole are sleek and refined following the brand’s new mission of elevating to a more premium appeal.
